Extensive addition

[edit]

I made an extensive additions to this wikipedia page, including adding sections about morphology, habitat, variation, feeding behavior, and life cycle. I also added 11 sources to the article, ensuring that my information was factually reliable and comprehensive. Rikkizd101 (talk) 03:45, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lead section

[edit]

Your lead section reads more like a description section. The lead should be kind of a summary of the major facts about the beetle and should make the reader want to keep reading, if that makes sense. I think you could add more details in this section and extract some of the more basic information to put in a separate "Description" section. MiJiEm (talk) 16:18, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lifecycle section

[edit]

This might just be me, but I found the first paragraph in this section to be hard to follow, specifically when you talk about overwintering. I got confused trying to follow the lifecycle of the beetle and when overwintering occurred and such. Also, why is the word summer in quotations? MiJiEm (talk) 16:20, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review

[edit]

This article was very interesting! In order to enhance readability, I restructured a few sentences. I also fixed typos and grammar errors. I agree with the other peer reviewer in that the Life Cycle section is hard to follow. I would consider rephrasing the first paragraph of that section. The Frugivore subsection was also difficult for me to follow, so I would consider editing that as well.

I really enjoyed the section on the Mechanism of Prey Capture--It was really interesting! I also appreciated that this article has many pictures and is well-cited. Overall, I thought this was a great article. E.a.eslinger (talk) 05:35, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This was a great article, I had enjoyed reading it! I had made slight edits about the piece where I had re-arranged the paragraph order and added a hyperlink to a few words to add more clarity to the article. Overall, it was a very interesting article! (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 04:26, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
