You need to include Springfield Township (which is also served by the Clarkston Public Schools) in your description on which communities refer to themselves as "Clarkston." Springfield Twp. has the same Clarkston, MI mailing, has the same zip codes, and same school system as Independence Township, to which you refer. "Clarkston" is truly The City of the Village of Clarkston, Independence Township, AND SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP....which is just as close and involved with Clarkston as Independence Township. Even Springfield Twp pays tax to Clarkston for our schools, uses the same Community Resources, and same retail. It is truly a THREE community area. Hopefully, Wikpedia will update the description of the demographics of "Clarkston."

- The school system in Clarkston plays a significant role in shaping the community. When discussing Clarkston's community school page, it emphasizes the commitment of Clarkston Community Schools to provide a challenging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students, staff, and families. Having lived in Clarkston, I can attest to the immense influence the school system has on the community. The strong sense of school pride, particularly evident in events like basketball and football games, brings people together. The numerous state championships won by Clarkston's teams further highlight the importance of sports and their impact on the Clarkston community. I am also new to Wikipedia editing as this is my first time. Rayna7130 (talk) 20:10, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
