Is this real?

[edit]

There's a distinct lack of sources on this article. Of the three citations, two are primary sources, all written by the same person, two are from The Atlantic and one from a site called "Poly Land", which doesn't sound like a reliable source. Not to mention the latter three are only used as a source for a pair of rather unencyclopedic sentences. "Others have identified it's effects..." and "it has been criticised..." are WP:WEASEL.

The term's definition is also oddly specific, for something that sounds this broad on the surface, and the fact that it reads like something one of those internet culture warriors would come up with to excuse online harrassment doesn't sit right with me either. If this is a real concept in the field of sociology, then the article needs better sources to reflect that. 46.97.170.50 (talk) 13:13, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There are three academic articles centered on the subject among the sources. This is sufficient for notability. MonsieurD (talk) 13:19, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New source

[edit]

Hi folks,

Here is a new source for the article. I don't know the status of Persuasion on Wikipedia, so I'll leave it up for the community to decide. --MonsieurD (talk) 13:17, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
