[edit]I've put down as much information as I can with the limited research tools available to me at the moment. I'll admit up front that the article is very US-centric, as most of the information I could find dealt specifically with laws in the United States. I'm relatively certain that the concept of controlling law exists in other legal systems around the world, and would be most grateful for someone who could add information about them. Also, I'm sure there are examples of cases where controlling law was an important factor, or even Supreme Court cases that dealt specifically with the issue of controlling law. Just hope that points some people in the right directions. Consequentially 00:22, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
