Notability

[edit]

@Newslinger:, Do you see any issues? Also, secondary sources describe it as being "open source," but at the github the license is less clear to me. Second opinion? -- Yae4 (talk) 17:16, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cowrie passes the notability test, in my opinion. Although several of the qualifying titles are published by Springer Science+Business Media, I would consider them sufficiently independent because Springer is a large publisher and the titles have entirely different authors. The license appears to be the New BSD License, which is free and open-source. I would mainly remove the DZone post, since I'm not convinced that DZone's contributor model receives enough editorial oversight, and this was republished from a company blog. Also, Cowrie (honeypot) or Cowrie (software) would be a better name than Cowrie honeypot, since the name of the software is just Cowrie. — Newslinger talk 14:27, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Done. -- Yae4 (talk) 11:31, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
