Notes after merge
[edit]We've recently merged this article with Cretoxyrhina as part of a small clean-up to make information up-to-date. Just for future reference in the future if anyone's going to make articles of these sharks, I'm going to list the taxons that were listed as within the family in this page and the families they are now in.
- Cretolamna (Otodontidae)
- Palaeocarcharodon (Otodontidae)
- Dallasiella (Incertae familiae)
- Paraisurus (Paraisuridae)
- Protolamna (Eoptolamnidae)
- Plicatolamna (invalid taxon, junior synonym of Archaeolamna kopingensis)

- A couple corrections to this list. "Eoptolamnidae" is junior synonym of Pseudoscapanoryhnchidae, therefore Protolamna is a pseudoscapanorhynchid. Plicatolamna is a junior synonym of Cretodus, which is also a possible pseudoscapanorhynchid. Dalasiella's affinities are uncertain but it might be an archaeolamnid.
