[edit]

Is it a good idea to link to the french Wikipedia for a specific term?

Does this seem like a (possibly commissioned) puff-piece to anyone?

[edit]

It just seems like a Curriculum Vitae for some random businessperson. I doubt this person's Notability and the encyclopedic value of the article (especially given the lack of Encyclopedic tone).
Even if they are notable, this reads too much like a puff-piece. (E.g.: "amongst the most influential French young economical leaders by leading business newspapers" - an unsourced and vague, meaningless statement in the lead section.) Even tangentially related entities are described in egregious marketing-speak (cf. "the think–tank most intent on the necessity of achieving the in-depth insight advocated by many of its members."), never mind the terrible writing. Also, "Distinctions" and "Philanthropy" have their own sections (come on, give me a break).
In fact, I think I shall nominate it for deletion once I have familiarized myself with that process. Articles like this bring the encyclopedia into disrepute.

I have now done so. Note the same sentiment being expressed on the corresponding French talk page (fr:Discussion:Cyril Benoit#Admissibilité). §§ LegFun §§ talk §§ 15:03, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
