Disputed election results

[edit]

Hi everyone I’m having problems with another editor here who is spreading false information that Daniel chapo is the president of Mozambique Masopustpai (talk) 22:09, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • What source do you have that Chapo was not elected president? BeanieFan11 (talk) 22:16, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The European Commission that was here to supervision the election accused the election as fraud, the cip a NGO that supervision also accused of fraudulent election, every party that ran for election also contested the election now we are waiting for what we call CC to validate if chapo won or to cancel the election so Chapo did not win as the result are being analyze 197.218.114.150 (talk) 08:16, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The election results do appear to be disputed as described at Venâncio Mondlane and 2024 Mozambican protests. Neither of these articles are linked in Chapo's article, nor is that dispute described, and it seems like it ought to be. I'd do it myself, but I lack the familiarity(or frankly the interest) in Mozambican politics to make those changes effectively. Both of the linked articles contain sources that would be helpful to bring here as well. LaffyTaffer (talk) 14:57, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So why you keep persisting in writing that Chapo is president elected, leave us Mozambican edit 197.235.59.215 (talk) 17:01, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I agree with you that the election was almost certainly fraudulent. However, is there a real possibility that the election result could be overturned? If not, it is still probably appropriate to call him the "president-elect" in the lead. Also, I'll add some details in the article about the claims of fraud later today. The reverted edits have been disruptive. Regardless of the validity of the election, articles must comply with wikipedia policy and the manual of style. LaffyTaffer (talk) 17:16, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We totally agree with you!

Venancio Mondlane won the elections with a land slide even with Fraude!
All evidences are available online from Podemos Party and Several NGO/Civil Society with the same results.
