- unless there comes a third series in which he is shown alive (highly doubtful), then yes, he died in the second series finale. -- fdewaele, 27 March 2007, 16:30.
Vorenus Wounded[edit]
It seems that Vorenus managed to live through a months journey from Egypt to Rome, although badly wounded. I'd thought that in this length of time the wound would either kill him or heal. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 155.207.255.51 (talk) 23:26, 27 March 2007 (UTC).
- I suppose his wound could have been infected, stabbing can force pieces of fabric or dirt into the body, could have nicked the intestine which released bile into his system. All would be crappy slow deaths. --Fxer 19:48, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's not conclusively said that Vorenus is dead in the show. There may have been some HBO update that I don't know about, but until there is, it must be said in the article that his fate is left uncertain. Millancad 23:02, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Effigies?[edit]
The plot summary specifies that the passing cart bears effigies of Mark Antony and Cleopatra. I interpret "effigy" as "figurative representation" -- however, if you look closely, you'll see that Mark Antony's "effigy", at least, is an actual body, just with a mask over the face (perhaps to hide its decomposition). I think the logical conclusion would be that Octavian brought the bodies back with him from Egypt. Please let me know your thoughts on this. If there are no dissenting opinions forthcoming, I'll change the article again (my previous edit was reverted). A minor point, I'll concede.
