Dum Dum entry
[edit]The following statement appears at the end of the entry. I am sure that this is a false statement, and either way, it is incomprehensible.
"Dum Dum was perceived as an ancient god. He was responsible for the flying creatures amongst the trees of the masabusu. They all came under one name, ready, mellow, omniporous and sturdy. Dum Dum was very clever, he made sure to choose the dumbest of the dum dum therefore they believed in dum dum."
Thank you.

- Its Dumdum; not dum dum. --59.99.136.36 (talk) 07:41, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree, the name should be Dumdum, 'Dum Dum' isn't right. Anirban Chatterjee (talk) 10:30, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
Though the origin came from "dumdum", the popular usage in English has become "Dum Dum" (though in Bengali it is still used as "দমদম") - be it the naming of Station or the Schools or the Government organizations. So, as an english pronunciation, we do use a pause between these two words "Dum" - "Dum". Arijit Sarbagna

Municipality
[edit]Hello fellow wikipedians, Dum Dum refers to the area covered by Dum Dum Municipality only (Check the given official website link). North Dum Dum & South Dum Dum are seperate municipalities & hence they should not be included within Dum Dum. Soumo Dutt 05:34, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
