Nonsense etc.

[edit]

The article is written with a lot of question marks, despite giving loads of "sources". However, in translating the sources some grave errors are made. The dies for example were made in Portugal using Dutch design and then the miniature cars were made in the Netherlands, not - as the article states - the other way around.

Also Pilen did not make use of Best-box or Efsi dies, they made a series of cars partly from Dutch design (see AHC) partly their own work. Despite a link between Best-box and Dinky and the same for Pilen and Dinky, there is no direct link between Pilen and Best-box/Efsi.

The origin of the name Efsi and why Efsi was created is explained on the Dutch Wiki. Some more info is in the seperate entity for Best box. As it stands, the article needs a mayor rework. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.164.106.236 (talk) 22:28, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No nonsense

[edit]

OK, but besides your word for it and the Dutch Wiki reference, we still have no new sources to cite for the information.--Cstevencampbell (talk) 00:36, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite

[edit]

I've rewritten the history according to the Dutch website. Not much needed to be changed regarding the Portuguese manufacture of the dies - the dies / molds WERE made in Portugal apparently and transferred to the Netherlands (and THAT is what the article previously stated). Slight alteration of Pilen's remanufacture of EFSI models but it is obvious many, if not most, were very close - so were new dies made? That is doubtful. New sources would be welcome here, of course.--Cstevencampbell (talk) 01:16, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Which Pilen models are supposed to have come from Efsi originals?
For more sources: Some articles have been written on the subject by the NAMAC (www.namac.nl), not sure if these can be obtained nowadays. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.164.106.236 (talk) 16:25, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The original Pilen catalog shown on Jorge Bras's photobucket page showed several of the old Model T models reproduced as Pilen models.--Cstevencampbell (talk) 23:45, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
