[edit]I was doing some basic research on Nixon's electoral history. I noticed an error in the "1948 Democratic Primary, California's congressional district election, 1948." At the time, it incorrectly listed Nixon winning the primary with only 69 votes at 52.2%, with Stephen Zetterberg at 16808 votes at 41%, and Margaret Cooper with 2772 votes at 6.8%.
The page Stephen_Zetterberg says that "Zetterberg was best known for being defeated by Congressman Richard Nixon in the 1948 Democratic primary, as Nixon, having no Republican opposition, entered the Democratic primary to ensure that he would have no Democratic opponent in the general election."
Looking at these numbers with this fact in mind supported by a source, it is clear that Nixon won - however, he could not have won a primary with only 69 votes. It appears there was an error in the edit between an edit made in 2019, where the previously edited version in 2017 reflects the accurate figures. As such, I have adjusted this number accordingly.
I believe this is an important contribution to the page as it also illustrates a key characteristic of Nixon being known as "tricky Dick" and employing the technique known as Cross-filing.
