Reboot Section

[edit]

Should there be a reboot section? She was rebooted in the Marvel Studios' Daredevil Netflix series that is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. - Batman3095 (talk) 19:36, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This article is about the 2005 film, itself a spinoff from the Daredevil film. The Netflix spinoff and other versions of Elektra are not particularly relevant here and was better covered elsewhere but I've added a mention of Netflix Elektra in the Legacy section of the article. -- 109.76.155.87 (talk) 12:18, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

Found a Los Angeles Times article title 'Elektra,' avenger of 'Catwoman'?. Not sure how best to use it in the article but it provides some context, that although the fans and filmmakers were optimistic, it explains after the failure of Catwoman distributors called female led superhero movies an untested genre. If anyone was in doubt that the legacy of this film was to put off Hollywood from making female led superhero films, this article from before the film was released makes it clear they were already worried. -- 109.76.155.87 (talk) 12:18, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Budget

[edit]

Please note that recent efforts to restore the WP:STATUSQUO reverted too far[1] and restored vandalism of the budget figures.[2] Template:Infobox film warns not to cherry pick budget figures. The budget range ($43–65 million) should be restored to the Infobox. -- 109.78.202.99 (talk) 12:56, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I wasnt sure of what to add so now i can actually do it. MoonlightVector 13:29, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There are a lot of people (or a few very active people) who keep vandalizing budget figures. (There are also some long established editors who change budget figures with no explanation whatsoever despite the warnings.) Most editors don't bother to include more than one reference to verify information, so if you see two or more references after a budget figure but only one figure in the Infobox then chances are someone has vandalized a budget range again. -- 109.78.202.99 (talk) 16:29, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
After finding an interview with the director where he says the film cost $43 million[3] I'm am wondering what the higher $65 million might represent. It could be a mistake, or it could represent the cost of the film including P&A, or it could be something else entirely, we just don't know. Again the documentation warns do not cherry pick so we keep the higher figure anyway. -- 109.76.133.142 (talk) 05:27, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
