family name

Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.70.90.43 (talk) 11:37, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date

[edit]

It appears there's not a clear birthdate for her. IMDB gives May 26. But others like this give May 15. May 26 is common in many sites, but most are copies of imdb, or copies of Wikipedia. de:Elisabeth Harnois says May 15. So, I'm just going to remove the exact day for the moment, until there's a reliable source. --Rob 12:13, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One of the links in German Wikipedia claims "May 15" was in older version of entry in IMDb. It is possible that other sites have cited this same version that have since been "corrected". Monni 03:44, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Use of IMDB as a source

[edit]

The filmography seems to use IMDB as a source. Her IMDB list has several mistakes. For example, she is the top billed filmed actor in the movie Solstice, which is shown by the IMDB entry for the movie Solstice and her face appearing on the DVD box, but in her IMDB career listing, it shows her as (V) a voice part. She was also in 4 episodes of All My Children - 2 in Dec 2000 as an engaged woman about to be married and 2 episodes in March 2001 as a married woman. This can be confirmed by checking rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc in google groups. Also, epguides.com confirms her as being in 2 episodes of Unhappily Ever After.

IMO, episode counts should be completely eliminated from filmographies. We are not IMDb and listing of episode counts is largely trivial except to die hard fans of an actor or show. Furthermore, episode counts of shows in current production require daily/weekly/monthly maintenance. All that maintenance leads to inaccuracies. Please see this discussion which I just started at WP:LOW. I did this so that we aren't just discussing this one article but making things standard for all articles. A closer look at IMDB shows that the episode count is auto-generated based on the individual listing of episodes. For All My Children (AMC), there are more than 10,000 episodes so it depends on people filling in cast lists for all those episodes, which will never happen. Susan Lucci has been on since the start of the show and it is easy to see on google that there were news stories about her 10,000th episode, but IMDB says she was in <400 episodes. There is a reference to the return of the Sarah character to AMC Update 08 Feb 2001 in google groups.
