Merge proposal

These two articles cover what is basically the same subject. I can see some subtle differences in End-User referring to the social aspects and User being more frequent as the programming object that proxies for the real person, but they ultimately refer to the same concept. Should both terms be covered in one article, or is there a fundamental difference that I'm missing? Diego (talk) 11:33, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that they should be merged. However, the content in End-User seems to be subordinate to the content in User. I think that User is the more generic name - the two topics currently represented are regarding the UML Actor (here) and the concept of a user account or encapsulated notion of a human person's combined identification and personal information within the context of a computer system or software application. The username redirect to User_(computing) is evidence of this distinction. Anyone else on how to resolve this? I'm willing to write to expand the stub once we figure out where we're going with it.
