I changed "21-13 days" to "12-13 days" since I assumed it was a typo. / Habj 21:25, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I partly rewrote the center section and introduced the terms proliferative, secretory, and menstrual endometrium, as these are important to understand the process. I removed part of the discussion about cycle length in dogs and horses as that belongs to the estrous cycle and is not germane to the endometrium itself. The discussion about the horse cycle was transferred to the estrous cycle. Ekem 22:21, 26 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The introduction of those terms are great but I think they should be explained a little more. // Habj 18:00, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

That's a great picture, and indeed I can see that the authors may have spent great efforts in order to produce it and gracefully illustrate us about how Mother Nature really works. But we common pet lovers might find it somewhat displeasant to watch. I myself had a reaction of shock when I first opened the page: for a brief moment I thought it was an human embryo! (and I know you doctors keep those kind of pictures!) In a second I looked desperately for the caption and I was informed it was from a cat. I breathed with relief and thanked the unknown medical editor for the consideration, but the following second I started to remember my long-ago gone Ralf pet cat. Would it be too much to ask if, for a chance, don't you have some picture from a cow or pork or some other mammal that we are more accustomed to slice and eat? Believe me, many people turn to Wikipedia exactly because their mood isn't like they would want to attend medical school, with all its corpse dissections and the like. Thank you and please forgive our sensitiveness! Aldo L (talk) 21:11, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Endometrium vs, endometrial lining

[edit]

Are the terms "endometrium" and "endometrial lining" synonymous? This needs to be clarified. If they're different, then the term "endometrial lining" needs to be defined. ThreeOfCups (talk) 01:17, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

They are synonymous, judging by what I have read and studied over the years, as is "uterine lining." Flyer22 (talk) 16:19, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
