Positive spin

[edit]

Nice bit of "technically accurate" spin in this article; whereas Alice Ormsby-Gore's article gives "On her return she moved back into Hurtwood Edge. By then Clapton was using heroin quite heavily to mitigate his continuing obsession with George Harrison's wife Pattie Boyd; Alice also became hooked on the drug. In his autobiography Clapton says, "Alice came back to live with me, and she started using too", citing a Times article (http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/article2557616.ece)- the clear implication being Ormsby-Gore, who subsequently died as a result of her addiction, was introduced to the drug ("hooked on" it) by Clapton, THIS article simply states "Clapton's partner from the late 1960s to 1974 was Alice Ormsby-Gore, a British aristocrat. They were together for three years and were both addicted to heroin." I guess the "Clapton is God" adherents still exist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.8.120.214 (talk) 01:43, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clapton did not start to record with Stratocasters untill 1974 and his signature Stratocaster is easily the highest output guitar in the world.

According to Claptons autobio biography he did not start to record with Stratocaster untill 1974 and even after that he used lots of other guitars in the seventiees. EC was here is recorded completely with a Gibson Explorer. According to Clapton used a Gibson Les Paul to record his solo album, Derek and the Dominos Layla and other love songs and The Rainbow concert in 1973 ( see page 179 in Claptons auto biography ). But in 1974 he made the Switch to a Fender Stratocaster. By 1982 Clapton was extremely fed up with the Stratocaster and signed with a High gain Humbucker guitar company. Clapton wanted back to Humbucker guitars. In 1985 Fender offered Clapton the biggest amount ever for a guitarist to sign for Fender. Clapton always says he prefers the Gibson sound but Fender paid better and also promised him the highest output guitar in the world something Clapton was interested in. He had tried to work with the other company to make the most powerful High gain Humbucker guitar possible far far away from a low gain Gibson Les Paul with its low gain Humbuckers of 7,5 Khoom. The Clapton signature Stratocaster is easily the highest output guitar in the world and also the absolute most powerful Humbucker guitar in the world. So after almost not playing Fender guitars at all in early 1986 he starts to play his signature Stratocaster. The Clapton signature Stratocaster has an active curcuit run by a 9 volt battery. Without the battery the guitar Does not work. The active circuit makes many Things in the guitar to make it as powerful as possible. The Stacked Humbuckers in The Clapton signature has as passive Humbuckers an output of 9,8 Khom. As the Clapton signature Stratocaster is always active However the Stacked Humbuckers gets between 2-3 times more powerful in The Clapton signature Stratocaster and has between 20 to 30 Khoom which is incredibly much output. The Clapton signature Stratocaster has also 12 to 25 DB mid boost. It starts at 12 DB mid boost and goes all the way up to 25 DB mid boost. 12 DB mid boost in itself has much more output than a Humbucker. So you have the extreme High gain Stacked Humbuckers of 20 to 30 Khom. Then you have the other Things the active circuit does to make the guitar more powerful, it Does far more than just make the Stacked Humbuckers active and 2-3 times more powerful than as passive Stacked Humbuckers. Then you have between 12 To 25 DB mid boost. 12 DB mid boost has a lot more output than any Humbucker. Then as output doubles every 3 DB mid boost The Clapton signature Stratocaster at its most powerful 25 DB mid boost has 18 to 20 times higher output at 25 DB mid boost than at its lowest 12 DB mid boost. The Clapton signature Stratocaster has 50 times higher output than a Gibson Les Paul at its most powerful level 25 DB mid boost. At its absolute lowest level 12 DB mid boost the Clapton Signature Stratocaster has 11 times higher output than a Gibson Les Paul. The Clapton signature Stratocaster is easily the highest output guitar in the world and easily the most powerful Humbucker guitar inbyte world. People had been complaining about the fact that their amps broke immidiately When They put The Clapton signature Stratocaster in the Amp. It was after that that objective experts mensured the output in The Clapton signature Stratocaster. They measured it against a Gibson Les Paul. They could measure the incredible output in the Clapton signature Stratocaster and messured the Clapton signature Stratocasters output to be 50 times higher than a Gibson Les Paul in The Clapton signatures most powerful position. They also measured The Clapton signature Stratocaster in its weakest position and The Clapton signature Stratocaster in its weakest position had 11 times higher ouput than a Gibson Les Paul. So be very careful if you buy The Clapton signature Stratocaster as it Will break Your amp immidiately because of its brutal power. The Clapton signature Stratocaster is as far away from a normal Stratocaster as you can possibly come. And No Stratocaster buyer wants a guitar that has 50 times higher output than a Gibson Les Paul. The Clapton signature Stratocaster is usualy bought by fans of Clapton but when They see that They have the most powerful guitar in the world instead of a normal Stratocaster. They usually get rid of the active circuit and the other electronics but They still have the Stacked Humbuckers ( Vintage Noiceless ) of 9,8 Khom. And a Stacked Humbucker guitar can never ever sound like a single coil guitar. Psysics does not allow that. Absolutely Noone in the world except for Clapton appearantly has any need of a Guitar with that much output. Why Clapton wants the most High output guitar in the world is a mystery as he is a great player and can get by with another guitar. He has However used The Fender Telecaster on every album from 1963 to 2021. 213.89.228.75 (talk) 00:17, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

One: Clapton did not start recording with Stratocasters in 1974, and his autobiography doesn't say he did. You've been banging on about this for some time, and I think you've misunderstood. 1974 may be when Clapton started using Blackie as his primary guitar, but it wasn't when he started playing Stratocasters. And I'm sure you've misunderstood the specs of the Clapton signature Stratocaster as well. It has an active mid-boost. That's all. --Nicknack009 (talk) 08:09, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've seen this largely copied and pasted on various guitar forums. There are a number of mistaken beliefs here but per WP:NOTFORUM, this is not what the talk pages are for. I'm going to close this discussion.Catfish Jim and the soapdish 16:45, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
