[edit]

One episode of BBC's Heartbeat series was (presumably) considerably influenced by the Yagan affair. In the television series episode a South African tribal king visit Lord Ashfordly, who has in his possession artifacts that were looted by an ancestor of Ashfordly. He refuses to return the artifacts until late in the episode when it is discovered that the severed head of a tribal king is buried in the garden of hte manor. Ashfordly then realise that his noble ancestor had not done all but noble deeds and return the head for transport and proper tribal burial. I believe it was aired in the UK sometimes around 2001 (if memory serve, it was the first time that the minor character rookie PC Nicholson appeared). Scoo 09:13, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
