Works

[edit]

I deleted below from his list of works because it doesn’t *seem* to be a significant example of his publication history—i’m guessing there are dozens of articles and book chapters out there. Maybe someone who knows this literature better than I do can dig up any landmark articles he published over the years

  • Chapter in Ronald Dworkin and his Critics, with replies by Dworkin (2004)

Why is this page so small?

[edit]

Considering that Cohen was a very influential philosopher it makes no sense that this page is small. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.39.3.85 (talk) 23:46, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled

[edit]

Y have removed the sentence saying the he "will be" professor at UCL in 2008-2009. It is not clear whether he actually took up this post. ( The removed text said "In 2008-2009 he will be Quain Professor of Jurisprudence, University College London.[1]")

Cohen dead?

[edit]

I just received a message stating that Cohen has died - can anybody confirm this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.195.32.149 (talk) 10:43, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen a note from the Oxford Politics Department which confirms this. -unsigned

Former students

[edit]

In the sentence about his former students becoming famous philosophers, can some examples be added? Padraic 20:22, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

touch up(s)

[edit]

Hi everyone, I made a small alteration in the introductory section where a distinction was elucidated in Cohen's position towards right- as opposed to left-libertarianism. Cohen argues quite forcefully and succinctly in the introduction chapter of "Self-Ownership, Freedom and Equality" that any form of libertarianism is finally incompatible with principles of equality.--Be gottlieb (talk) 11:33, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sketch comedy

[edit]

Cohen was fairly famous, among philosophers and students, to occasionally do some sketches and impressions. (As seen from these videos http://www.youtube.com/user/nvrousalis/videos). Should this be also included in the article perhaps? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.140.194.188 (talk) 20:50, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I recall hearing, around 1980, that he actually did a one-man show for a night at the London Hippodrome. Though Google etc can't find it. Errantius (talk) 08:54, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
