Not to be confused with: Gabrielle Solange
[edit]Gabrielle S. from Columbus,OH probably would've liked to just drop her surname but since there IS already one well-known Gabrielle in the music world (you're reading her Talk page right now) she had to use the second name for diversity. Although she might not be too known yet, you can be sure her first single ("Survive") won't be the first one and this article will have to be split up. Hang on...am I her manager? No. A fan? Not really yet. Just someone who tried to figure out whether there's already an article about Gabrielle (S.) :) -andy 92.230.24.136 (talk) 19:07, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- What a bizarre comment. Also, no one is confusing her with whoever this random woman is. 77.100.224.71 (talk) 22:56, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Gabrielle (singer)
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Gabrielle (singer)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Gabrielle questions birthdate
[edit]Gabrielle claims to be 50 next year (2019), whereas the birthdate listed is one year off. I shan't edit just the year, as I am concerned that I don't have a source for the full date.
https://www.theguardian.com/music/2018/aug/06/gabrielle-coming-back-white-male-new-album-interview
Now she says she is embracing middle-age. “I’m 50 next year and can’t wait.” Hold on, I say, according to Wikipedia you’re only 48. “Nah. I was 49 in July. I’m probably the only woman who doesn’t misquote their age.” Why is she looking forward to her 50th? “It’s so liberating. I’m doing what I love doing, surrounded by the people I love.”

Birthdate
[edit]Having read a recent interview with The Guardian, where she mentions that she turned 49 in July, I was intrigued why everywhere quoted her birthdate as 16 April 1970. I found a few refs for July 1969, and eventually found it was the 19th, so I've changed it. Here is the quote from The Guardian (dated August 2018) : "Now she says she is embracing middle-age. “I’m 50 next year and can’t wait.” Hold on, I say, according to Wikipedia you’re only 48. “Nah. I was 49 in July."Tuzapicabit (talk) 15:58, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
- Edit: Sorry, didn't see the section directly above, but I'll leave it anyway!Tuzapicabit (talk) 15:59, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
