[edit]What so you think about creating a redirect from Gamera The Guardian to this page? Kushalt 19:39, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
Change to right name
[edit]I think that the title of the article should be changed to the onscreen title, which is Gamera the Guardian of the Universe.Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 03:09, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Gamera: The Guardian of the Universe was definitely used for the initial U.S. theatrical release and very first VHS release, but the "the" has since been dropped for all home video releases of the movie in the West. All three movies have various English titles that get used inconsistently. For example, G2 gets called Gamera 2: Advent of Legion on the title screen and G3's title screen says The Absolute Guardian of the Universe: Gamera3 - Incomplete Struggle. Wikipedia just uses the consistent current English home video titles of the movies (except for G3, there is no "the" in that title in any release and I don't know why the page has it).
