  • ... that model and shoe designer Hélène Arpels believed that "Diamonds go with everything"? Source: "...Hélène Arpels, the former wife of Van Cleef & Arpels scion Louis Arpels. Hélène, a native of Monte Carlo, was a Paris doyenne in her own right ... married Louis Arpels in 1933, and the two moved from Paris to the U.S. ... her catch phrase: 'Diamonds go with everything.' " ([1])
    • ALT1:.. that when Hélène Arpels designed shoes for Jackie Kennedy, she always made one slightly higher to allow for the different lengths of Jackie's legs?

Interesting life, on good sources, no copyvio obvious. I prefer the original, but wonder if we should use the term catch-phrase. A few questions regarding the article, not needed for approval (but the qpq is): "she worked as a model when she married" sounds strange to me ;) - The two following sentences both begin with a short "in" clause. - I am not with a colloquial "Jackie" for JKO. Depending on when she became a customer, she deserves a full name at that time, and then mentioning by last name. - The other customers could be mentioned in that context instead of an unconnected sentence as a short para. - I miss a sentence saying that Arpels died where when. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:00, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Can you aprove Alt 1 so that there is a choice of hooks Gerda? Philafrenzy (talk) 07:44, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I will once you supplied a qpq, and hope that the informal "Jackie" will go. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:07, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
QPQ added @Gerda Arendt:....thank you for reviewing. Whispyhistory (talk) 03:02, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ref 5 uses the name Jackie Kennedy. I think we should too as it is clearly the common name even if it is not the article title for her biography. Philafrenzy (talk) 10:14, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Do you see the difference between "Jackie" and "Jackie Kennedy"? Can you phrase it as "her", perhaps, to avoid repetition? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:30, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have undone your striking of the Alt Gerda as there is no clear reason why it was struck. Please be more specific about what you don't like and why. Philafrenzy (talk) 10:44, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If it is the repetition of Jackie in the hook, that was to make it clear it was not Helene's legs. Philafrenzy (talk) 11:04, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
We had misunderstanding. I can't approve ALT1, sorry if I confused the two hooks above. Let's take ALT0 or find a different reviewer. I meant "Jackie" in the article. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:16, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
