New metro area definition
[edit]In 2023, the US Office of Management and Budget redefined the official name of the Hampton Roads MSA to "Virginia Beach-Chesapeake-Norfolk, VA-NC" and the components that comprise the area have also been changed - some (cities and counties) have been added and some deleted. Also, the Consolidated Statistical Area has been changed to "Virginia Beach-Chesapeake."
Who will take on the gargantuan task of rewriting this article?
Whoever decides to do so should take a hard look at rewriting the geography portion of the article; much of it is duplicated elsewhere and there are a number of factual errors in this section. Some of these errors have been fixed over the years, but, unfortunately, someone always comes back and deletes the corrections. 71.176.33.33 (talk) 22:48, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
