Translation or/of nonsense?

The concept outlined in the article is clear, however the title/translation is anything but. The dictionary definitions I found for heterogeny are:

the alternation of dioecious and hermaphroditic individuals in successive generations, as in certain nematodes.
the alternation of parthenogenetic and sexual generations in rotifers and similar animals

How the term heterogeny has relevance to the concept outlined in the article is therefore opaque. Allying either of these definitions with something that could be understood from the phrase "of ends" seems an impossibility. Can anyone provide a definition/translation of the term heterogeny/Heterogonie that makes any sense in the context in which it is here used? LookingGlass (talk) 10:37, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Heterogony is a loan translation from German Heterogonie, which is taken from Greek material and essentially refers to goals generated (gony) "outside" (hetero really means 'other', 'another', 'different'). We are fine. --Pequod76 (talk-ita.esp.eng) 00:03, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
