This game deserves some more love! I've added two more screenshots for this classic! --sys2074 15:17, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded! GREAT game. I even put some of the music on my MP3 player (Is that sad? lol)

>There is also level editor for Amiga version.

I remember reading (probably Usenet at the time) that Scott Johnson (sp?) said he would release the source code of this game at some point. I'm assuming he never did. Redpola (talk) 09:20, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

hostage rescue mission?

[edit]

I think this is not true. At least it was nowhere mentioned in the novel that the mission is a hostage rescue mission. Can somebody shed some light on this? --sys2074 03:47, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No idea, but I'm still stuck trying to find the fourth Backpack nuke :(

>It is written in the manual. If you don't have original, this game is worthy to buy.

It would be worth mentioning the extended sound effects that were available if you had extra ram installed. 118.208.133.162 (talk) 00:18, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I had the original but sold it (dooh). Either way the plot outline described on the Wiki page makes much more sense now. --sys2074 (talk) 06:42, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As game manual states (translating from PL): "Cease production and distribution of illegally produced biomechanical organisms on the surface of Luyten L-7836 3.1 called 'Graveyard'. (...) Method of destruction: a thermonuclear explosion" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.46.15.20 (talk) 08:36, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It (The hostage rescue plot) is indeed a load of garbage, there is no mention of it in the game manual. Or, to my recollection (as it's been about 8 years since I had a copy) the short novel that accompanied the game. I have rectified this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anakirob (talkcontribs) 01:23, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

Why is it considered a "role-playing video game"? I always thought it's a tactical shooter. --77.46.15.20 (talk) 08:42, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is called a role playing game because it is very similar in operation to other role playing games of the era such as Captive, Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder, Bloodwych, etc. And perhaps also because that's how the authors wanted it to be perceived. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anakirob (talkcontribs) 01:26, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
