Merger proposal
[edit]This makes sense since as stated on the article, home audio refers to "audio electronics" which basically is "consumer electronics". The consumer electronics article focuses more on cameras and this could be the perfect addition to improve it. Jrod2 (talk) 00:14, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, but, grrr. At least make it suggest to redirect to home cinema, which would actually make sense. I looked at the consumer electronics page and, no. It makes no mention of anything audio and it's short and home audio would be out of place. Daniel Christensen (talk) 00:20, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Why do people hate this
[edit]Bloody improve the article instead of critisizing. Sanyo SS-690 and Fisher DS-825 are Bullshit articles that get no flack. This is a common and broad subject.
I think that you guys are just scared because you know what this article should look like but you don't knoiw where to start. You're all in a Wikirut. lol. You've gotten to a comfortable point with Wikipedia and don't feel like making any more mainstream articles that require....work. Daniel Christensen (talk) 00:24, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Nothing against the article and I don't really understand your examples logic. Nevertheless, you have to admit that audio electronics are comprised in mainly two categories: consumer and professional. It would be out of context to merge "home audio" to "home cinema" although the idea of merging that article to consumer electronics wouldn't be bad either. I would support such a merge as well. My reasons are I prefer to have a strong and comprehensive article about consumer electronics then many small ones relating the consumer electronics subject scattered all across WP. Proposed merge of Shelf stereo and music centre into Home audio
[edit]Overlapping topics. See Talk:Shelf stereo#Proposed merge of Music centre with Shelf stereo for prior discussion Ost (talk) 21:02, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- Merge. Not enough sources for separate article. - LuckyLouie (talk) 21:35, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Ost316 Merge. No objections. 86.187.166.10 (talk) 20:05, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- I've merged, integrated and sourced the material into Home audio. If somebody could do the redirects from Shelf stereo and Music centre, and take care of the Talk page attributions, that would be great. - LuckyLouie (talk) 20:59, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
- Article redirects done. Talk page reconciliations done. Done - LuckyLouie (talk) 14:55, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
