I agree with the previous poster: Dr. Barna Szabo was a founding pioneer for p-FEM, and collaborated extensively with Dr. Babuska on the matter. He absolutely deserves to be on this page because of his contributions to the method. I know I have seen old technical papers to this effect...I will see if I can find them. 24.107.136.77 (talk) 03:12, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please edit the page. The hp-version or p-version of the finite element was first addressed by Dr. Barna Szabo arount 1977, Dr. Ivo Babuska working in conjunction with Dr. Szabo formally proved the exponential convergence for the p-version later on.

Why are there no references to Dr. Szabo and Dr. Babuska's book "Finite Element Analysis", which is the first book on the subject? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.212.106.10 (talk) 21:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is it possible to have several images next to each other (horizontally)? PavelSolin (talk) 06:02, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is WP:Gallery what you're looking for?—Largo Plazo (talk) 11:55, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I finished a first version of this page (thanks again for your assistance!). Should I be afraid that someone removes it? PavelSolin (talk) 17:07, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome! As with any article, others are free to make changes to it, as long as their changes are helpful, but I don't see why anyone would remove it.—Largo Plazo (talk) 17:47, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, if I google hp-FEM, then the Wikipedia "hp-FEM" page is found as "Hp-FEM". Can this be corrected? Thanks a lot 129.108.114.175 (talk) 22:21, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Example[edit]

The example problem is missing a decent description. What is the PDE to be solved, what are the initial- and boundary conditions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.53.205.121 (talk) 23:05, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs work to clean up tone.[edit]

This article is not NPOV. It advocates hp-FEM rather than explaining and detailing it. Furthermore, the voice/tone of the article is instructional and informal. More details about the inner workings of the method should be added, and the language should be cleaned up to present a more neutral point of view. Tristan (talk) 16:07, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
