I just finished reading the Daredevil vs. Punisher series the Jackal/Professor appears in. While there is a brief appearance of the Jackal, it does not state if Professor is one of the previous Jackals or someone new to the name. In other words, the Professor's identity is not stated in the comic, only that he was a previous Jackal. Since it wasn't explictly stated, I was going to remove it and replace it with something like "The Professor, appearing in Daredevil vs. Punisher, was a previous Jackal and has allied himself with Hammerhead.
