Profession

[edit]

According ton the very long obituary in the biographical memoirs of the royal society he was trained as a zoologist and employed as a zoologist throughout his career. His book "race" which was ill received at its publication does not appear to be among his most important works - but rather somewhat of an afterthought in retirement.·maunus · snunɐɯ· 16:23, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Scientific racism

[edit]

@Johnpacklambert: Per https://doi.org/10.1177/030639687401600105 Baker claimed, in 1974, that black people were "less evolved", and evolved from a different subspecies of apes. He also claimed that "Negroes are distinguished by their ’bestial or fetid smell, which they all have to a greater or lesser degree ...'" among other equally absurd and racist things. I have added this to the article, with a source. I have therefor also restored Category:Scientific racism. If you still object go ahead and revert, but explain why, or better yet, include a new source for this information. Grayfell (talk) 08:42, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A. O. Ladimeji

[edit]

Who is this "A. O. Ladimeji" I don't find a lot of data about him regarding his credentials, etc. --105.0.3.176 (talk) 20:11, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

He's been what I can only called spammed into a number of articles, usually to make vague unattributed critical comments about something. He runs his own journal that he publishes in.[1] I've been removing him. Doug Weller talk 16:27, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
