"Paulo"?
[edit]The BBC in 1986, consistently referred to him as "Paulo Josimar". (see, for example, goal #3 in this video [1]) Was this just an error? Or is Paulo a real or nickname? --Dweller (talk) 07:54, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- Technically it is possible as Portuguese language names usually have 2 names and 2 surnames, so it wouldn´t be strange that his original name was Paulo Josimar Higino Pereira, but for time being all sources don´t mention "Paulo" and we need a source to confirm it. Portuguese wikipedia unfortunatelly has his article unsourced. I´ll try to digg further into it and I´ll bring here if I find anything. FkpCascais (talk) 08:14, 15 June 2012 (UTC) OK, my Google search for Paulo Josimar Higino Pereira doesn´t seem to give me one single result connected to him, and his page from the Brazilian Federation website (here) says only Josimar Higino Pereira. - Could it be that <gasp> the BBC got it wrong? --Dweller (talk) 08:49, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
I've left a request for help with the Portuguese Football Wikiproject. --Dweller (talk) 09:06, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- Creio ter sido um erro da BBC. Todas as fontes que encontro se referem à ele como Josimar Higino Pereira. Vejam essa, de um conceituado jornalista brasileiro, por exemplo. RmSilva can talk! 13:58, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you. --Dweller (talk) 14:01, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
