Another use

[edit]

Maybe it can be mentioned in the article that canker sores can be lessened by gargling with Kaopectate (at least, a number websites online say this). Esn 20:02, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

External link: Adspam or not?

[edit]

"It should be noted that a product called Kaolin-pectate is the original formula and can be obtained from [name of company, with external link]." -- Does this qualify as advertsing that should be removed from Wikipedia or not? -- 201.19.20.38 13:48, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reyes

[edit]

Shouldn't we mention the fact this drug can cause Reye's Syndrome? Sincerely and truly yours, C6541 (TC) at 03:19, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request for expansion

[edit]

This article can be improved by the addition of more information on the reasons for the changes in the active ingredient (in the 1990s from Kaolin and pectin to attapulgite, and in the 2000s from attapulgite to bismuth subsalicylate which is also the active ingredient in Pepto-Bismol). Trivia

[edit]

I would suggest that it's worth mentioning that "Kaopectate" is named in the song "Rappers' Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang?
