GOCE copy edit, May 2012

[edit]
  • FN8 (ref name="Sarina Singh") refers to p.138, but the URL was for p.235. The latter contains nothing very useful, so I've changed the URL to point to p.138. By the way, neither page mentions geological movement as part of the mine's formation (it's about the Karakoram Highway), so I've removed that statement and source. FN12 (ref name="Helen") by itself supports the sea evaporation theory. --Stfg (talk) 12:58, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the correction. FN8 Page 138 do say about the drying up of sea and following geological movement, just above the Khewra heading. Actually Khewra mine is a part of salt range, but if you think one source is enough, its good. --SMS Talk 13:15, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thanks, I see it now. Restoring Sarina Singh. --Stfg (talk) 13:27, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm converting to British spellings and tagging {{Use Pakistani English}}. --Stfg (talk) 12:58, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Vanit Nalwa

[edit]

I've just removed a source because doubts have been expressed about it at WP:RSN. I appreciate that the doubts were primarily in connection with using that source at Hari Singh Nalwa and so my removal might be hasty, but is there no alternate source that could be used for the statement? If Vanit Nalwa is the only source then that really would be a bit worrying. - Sitush (talk) 17:59, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Levels

[edit]

'The mine comprises nineteen stories, of which eleven are below ground.' Does this mean 'eleven stories [levels] are below the altitude of the entrance tunnel', or that 8 stories are on the surface (unlikely)? PhilUK (talk) 17:16, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
