Board Game
[edit]Should the 1991 board game spin-off be mentioned here?
66.77.144.5Shelby66.77.144.5
- It's tough to find reliable info on the connection between the two. If you can find anything... Kil 03:37, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
english KB: the legend
[edit]is there an english version/patch? or at least to an english forum? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.93.103.66 (talk) 13:25, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
It will be released in USA in October 2008, in Europe it has just been released.--Andrei Knight (talk) 04:06, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Russian section
[edit]I split the info on the actual sequel to its own article, King's Bounty: The Legend. The remaining content is about a fan-made game whose only source is a first-party interview. I think it's questionable as to whether this should remain in the article as it seems like an attempt to attach a personal project to an article of greater notability. If this game was really worth mentioning, it should have better sources and, if they exist, they could be used to support a standalone article. Ham Pastrami (talk) 23:47, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Story section
[edit]The current story section was lifted from the manual. This section needs to be rewritten or GFDL'd by the rights owner (WP:F). In the meantime I have blanked the section. Ham Pastrami (talk) 01:00, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Some additional notions
[edit]- The unofficial fan sequel "King's Bounty 2" has been created by Sergei Prokofyev (Сергей Прокофьев in Russian). That's written inside of the game, in the "about" screen.
- There's more than one successor to the game right now. Apart from King's Bounty: The Legend there's also King's Bounty: Armored Princess, and I believe that should be considered in the article.--Mormat (talk) 08:43, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
recent initiatives
[edit]Hi. I am one of the knowledge experts of KB as I wrote the original gamefaq and will update it this month...
1) There is an openKB attempt, https://sourceforge.net/p/openkb/
The hope is to do a multi-system port.
2) I am in touch with the original graphic designer, Vince De Quattro and we're thinking of contacting Jon Van Caneghem to see if he'd like to license the game.
3) There are other knowledge expoerts like Chris Jones (first King's Bounty FAQ) and Lucien McMahon a.k.a. Thuryl, who did a Let's play.
4) there are some manuals online.
I put this in my thanks.
