Capital M

[edit]

"Correct spelling is with capital M" ?

In which language? English? In German the correct name is "Münzhaus", Slovak "mincovňa", Czech "mincovna". None use Mint (w. capital M).
BTW1: "The Mint of Mincovňa Kremnica, š.p. was..." seems to be a pleonasm (mincovňa simply means mint).
BTW2: "š.p." is for: štátny podnik, (state company). In 1328? In a "free royal town"?. Probably štátny podnik is a modern denomination. Following the Czech the name was štátna mincovňa Kremnica (do roku 1995= to year ...).

In English, of course, because it is the name of the company. Also in Slovak it is Mincovňa Kremnica – with capital M.
Ad BTW1: yes, I agree. M in this Mint should be lower-case, since it is not name of the company and just general description.
Ad BTW2: I don't know since when Mincovňa Kremnica is "š. p.", but it currently is. ~ Illioplius (talk) 12:31, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
