EricLewan, the logo on the infobox needs to match the logo used on the official site. It doesn't matter if they use some other version on other materials or sites. The official site is what we use for infoboxes on Wikipedia. I'm going to change it back now. If you want it to be something other than the logo on the official site, you need to gain WP:CONSENSUS here on this talk page, preferably with experienced Wikipedia editors who are familiar with Wikipedia infobox and logo policies. Thank you. Softlavender (talk) 11:08, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

Softlavender, excuse me, but why you're don't act the same with Moscow Metro? The official website - engl.mosmetro.ru still using the old logo. What's wrong with Kyiv? EricLewan (talk) 11:42, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
The difference is that Moscow Metro's new logo receives reasonable amount of media coverages[1] but you never show us the similar level of sources. Also please stop you sneaky changes of Kiev to Kyiv whenever you made a change. We don't buy that KIEV State Administration letter for WMF. It's full of unsourced claims in order to fool us to believe that Kyiv was popular enough in documents of US/UK governments or journals which is false. -- Sameboat - 同舟 (talk · contri.) 15:17, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
Absolutely agree, on both counts. I'm not going to beat the tired "Kyiv" horse to death, as it's already been decided ad nauseam. But on the logo issue, no one has produced one bit of evidence that the old logo is "no longer used", or that this new logo should replace it. Until that happens, the "old" logo should stay. --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:21, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

Source for network length

Is there an official source for the network length (59,9 km)? An english source is of course preferrable, but an Ukrainian source will do otherwise. --Kildor (talk) 10:37, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Sure, there is a track map here. We can calculate the exact length SBL: 157+86 + 068+61 = 226+47; KKL: 213+61 - 81+69 = 131+92; SPL (With the opening of Chervony Khutir, map is not yet updated): 280+00 - 41+33 = 238+67. So add them all up: 597+06 or 59.706 km. Seems there is a small rounding error there. Question is how accurate do we need it, because we can go to the metre precision. The other point is that the piquet distances are not entirely correct, because they are measured from mid-platform, and if you include all the reversal sidings, service branches, and depot paths, we can easily claim an extra 5 or so kilometres. --Kuban Cossack 11:33, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Interesting. Thanks! But from where did you get the number 59.9, which is mentioned in the article? --Kildor (talk) 11:50, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Must be from the same way that other errors arrise, we neglect a .02 here and there, but they do add up, or in our case we overshot when rounding. I re-checked all the lenghts and increased the precision to .01 km, that still put us 10 metres too short. --Kuban Cossack 12:13, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
OK. I guess it is not important if it is 59.7 or 59.9. But I thought perhaps that you had found the number 59.9 in a document or on the official website. Such kind of source would be better to use for quoting the route length of the Kiev Metro. I am looking for sources to the List of rapid transit systems. --Kildor (talk) 13:42, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Resolved
 – Article now has two sources, incl. one from the operator, for the current system length. --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:42, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Kiev Metro. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Poor-quality English

I've just corrected 'nominations' (referring to money) to 'denominations'. But in general this article has surely been written by a non-native user of English, perhaps Ukrainian, since there are occasional misuses of articles ('the special machine', whereas no such machine has yet been referred to) and almost incomprehensible sentences like 'starts from 2008 till 2015 were used blue tokens' ('starts' is meaningless here, and the verb 'were used' cannot precede its subject 'blue tokens', as it often does in Ukrainian). How I wish non-natives would stop writing Wikipedia articles in English without getting the quality checked by a native speaker first!213.127.210.95 (talk) 15:16, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

Two line 5's??

The template at the bottom of the article says that there will be two line 5's; one is aqua and one is yellow. Any source?? Georgia guy (talk) 21:52, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
