Untitled[edit]
I felt that this article did not make it clear wether a high or low lability resulted in a functional group being better or worse as a leaving group. I checked this on other sites and it appears that the lower the lability the better a functional group is as a leaving group.
CN- is not a good leaving group[edit]
CN- should not be on that list as having the greatest lability —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 38.97.70.138 (talk) 19:17, 24 April 2007 (UTC).
Amide?[edit]
Pardon my potential lack of knowledge, but on the list of leaving groups, shouldn't an amide group be denoted as R-C(O)NR2? ItchyNutz (talk) 00:24, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- Amide can also refer to NR2- anions such a NH2- in sodium amide. OrganoMetallurgy (talk) 22:18, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
