Not notable person

[edit]

No evidence Gordon was related to Gordons of Huntly or Gordonstoun. Where is evidence he was a "friend" of Gordon of Gordonstoun? Where is evidence he was buried at Kineddar churchyard? I don't believe this person was notable enough for an article.--Bill Reid | (talk) 17:32, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why would a Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, second only in the Order of Precedence to the Sovereign during office, not be considered notable?George Burgess (talk) 17:44, 16 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The order of precedence dates only to 1905 but many of the 18th-century and 19th-century moderators who have articles are notable for reasons other than being a moderator while others are in the same category as Lewis Gordon and apart from being chosen for the position, haven't done anything notable. In Wikipedia:Notability, the General notability guideline: "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list." --Bill Reid | (talk) 12:04, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
