[edit]

I suggest spelling it 'lexicalization'. 2bluey (talk) 12:02, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want Conservapedia, you know where to find it. --60.240.145.232 (talk) 05:38, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[2-4 separate meanings for lexicalization]

[edit]

The introduction refers to an external construct that does not correspond at all to the content of the psycholinguistics section, which refers to a internal construct. If there are two separate meanings for lexicalization, the introduction should reflect that and there should be two separate subsections or two separate pages. There also appears to be two additional meanings: "the realization of a meaning in a single word or morpheme rather than in a grammatical construction" and "the treatment of a formerly freely composed, grammatically regular, and semantically transparent phrase or inflected form as a formally or semantically idiomatic expression" (www.merriam-webster.com). Yes. This is a problem with the article. I seem to recall there used to be an article called Lexicalization (psycholinguistics or Lexicalization (linguistics), which got folded into this one. I haven't got enough time to check or edit the article right now though. But perhaps you could...? At least the introduction should be changed. Garik (talk) 12:38, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
