Mistake in this article

[edit]

A lieu-dit is a small place bearing a name, but it can be either inhabited or uninhabited. This is indeed its main difference with a hamlet, which is a place that is always inhabited.

I'm positive about this. I've been through several lieux-dits today as there are many in my region (i'm French).

I wouldn't like to change the style of the article, could someone edit it properly please?

"English speakers seem to have discovered the concept through oenology"

[edit]

It seems like this is an indirect choice of words. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.43.120.239 (talk) 20:36, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article wouldn't be entirely useless if it didn't talk and talk about oenology. Read the French version to see what I mean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.1.79.0 (talk) 03:18, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
