Category:East Jerusalem[edit]

Deletion of the overall category, Category:East Jerusalem, was endorsed by the closing admin of the deletion review linked below.

I think there would be little rational objection to more specific categories based on the 2 subsections of the page here. Here are the pages listed below that were categorized (incorrectly or not) at Category:East Jerusalem. There was one subcategory too: Category:Gates in Jerusalem's Old City Walls.

Some of the pages may belong in the article here.--Timeshifter 11:31, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It lists many examples of this still-ongoing POV campaign. --Timeshifter 17:38, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maps[edit]

Tewfik blanked a couple maps from this article. See this diff [2].

The external link is to the best, most detailed map of East Jerusalem, etc. that I have found. The West Bank map, Image:We-map.png, that I put in the article puts Jerusalem in context.

B'Tselem - The Separation Barrier. Article with link to large PDF map of the West Bank that shows details of Jerusalem and surroundings.--Timeshifter 17:17, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The maps are on the main articles, here they should be removed. This is a list, not an article. This is not even a POV issue. --Shuki 22:33, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There is no rule against having images on a list page. That is ridiculous. I am a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Lists. Many list and chart pages have images. --Timeshifter 01:13, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the same diff linked in the previous talk section Tewfik also removed Category:Disputed territories. The list of East Jerusalem locations includes many locations that are disputed territories. See the article East Jerusalem. --Timeshifter 17:20, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

After the above diff Tewfik again removed List of East Jerusalem locations from Category:Disputed territories. Here is the latest diff: [3]. His edit summary was "I'll grant the [POV] map until a better one can be found, but this is still a 'list', and not a 'territory' ( East Jerusalem, OTOH, is so categorised)".

Locations are territories according to the general sense of the term. See:

Isarig is tag-teaming with Tewfik. Here is the last diff. His edit summary is "not a 'territory' ". See WP:Vandalism#Types of vandalism and "frivolous" explanations. You guys need to discuss your deletions seriously.--Timeshifter 06:55, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The link to B'Tselem is totally irrelevant.
