Intangible cultural heritage
[edit]FYI, Madagascar is also represented on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list by the inclusion of the woodworking knowledge of the Zafimaniry. The Zafimaniry are a subgroup of the Betsileo people of the southern central highlands who have preserved ancient decorative and functional woodworking practices that were once widespread throughout the island. These traditional practices are now in rapid decline due to deforestation and the destruction of the traditional Zafimaniry way of life. To find out more, go here until I can flesh out the article on the Zafimaniry. Lemurbaby (talk) 01:39, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

outdated
[edit]"La Haute Ville d’Antananarivo" (entered 2016 on the tentative list) is missing. --Bjs (talk) 18:04, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
- Made theaddition myself, but this is not my home wiki and a "featured list" about a subject matter that permanently might change imho should have someone from this wiki who cares for it. --Bjs (talk) 10:33, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
