Konstanz Codex

[edit]

I deleted this from the list. Information on such Codex is limited. There is no Wikipedia article on the codex. Also I would note that the Codex in question has been chiefly mentioned on a single website which claims to be a 2008 webpage[1] of the University of Königsberg which university was disestablished in 1945, making the validity of the reference questionable. Pending some support for the validity of the Codex, it should not appear here. Franklin Moore 03:05, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

The Book of Kells

[edit]

Surely the Book of Kells merits a place on this list? Even though it's more known for its illumination and full-size ornamental pages than for its texts as such, it's probably the best-known Celtic manuscript of all time. /Strausszek (talk) 13:42, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What should I do?

Don't panic; a discussion will now take place over on Commons about whether to remove the file. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion, although please review Commons guidelines before doing so.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.

Convert to table

[edit]

I think it would be helpful to convert this to a table with dates, language, and other basic info. If there is interest I'll take a stab at it. Rkedge (talk) 18:36, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds worthwhile to me. Sandstein 19:34, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
