Number styles and sorting
[edit]This list includes several styles of writing numbers (2,000 m, 1'000.000 people and 1.000.000 people). The manual suggests commas, I'll make the change to use those.
Ooty has a listed population of "111.52" which is clearly a typo, but the wiki article and the city website both list the 2001 census (population 93,921). I also looked at the 2011 census data, and all I could find about Ooty (Udhagamandalam, rather) was that the population was less than 1 lakh (100,000) source. It does not appear to meet the minimum criteria, so I am inclined to remove it.
Thirdly, the columns for population and elevation get sorted alphabetically rather than numerically. One solution would be to break the data up into two columns (one for feet, one for meters / one for population, one for census year). Perhaps there is a more elegant way to do this, I'll leave it be for now. Kjsharke (talk) 15:35, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Centralized page move discussion
[edit]There is a centralized discussion about whether or not to remove "in the world" from this and roughly fifteen other articles.
