Poor sources
[edit]The article is generally poorly sourced, and where sources have been supplied, there are no dates of publication or reference to date of counting. I'm not sure it's worth keeping, but have added projects so that editors from those projects can review it. (I removed an old AfD template which was dated 2015 - older than the article(?).) - @Laterthanyouthink: I just restored the template. It's older than the article because the article has been deleted before and re-created anyway, and yet it's still speculative garbage with poor sources, the main three sources being YouTube videos (!). The article is so awful it almost merits a speedy. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 10:13, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Florian Blaschke Okay. Yes, I agree it's awful (and I would question the usefulness of the article even if it were fully cited!). Laterthanyouthink (talk) 10:43, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
The note that reads: "The sources and years from 1810 to 2100 come from this video: But when more than 20 countries get a milestone, such as the 50 million milestone, the sources come from this video" needs to be cleaned up and removed from the top as it is ultimately the first thing a user sees when landing on this wiki. Overall, it's an interesting article and should be kept but tidied up and possibly expanded. — Preceding undated comment added 13:02, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
What does “1905, most likely 1500” mean on the 20 million milestone for Brazil? This happens with several other countries and is confusing for the reader. Which year is it? Someone should get to the bottom of this. 75.6.197.115 (talk) 19:59, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
Speculative estimates
[edit]Estimates for the late 21st century are too speculative, and should not be included in the lists. Ehrenkater (talk) 10:47, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
