U19 caps
[edit]Hi,
since Wikipedia asks for sources for youth caps, I'll just put them here!
http://hns-cff.hr/matches/242737/bih-hrvatska-1-1/ cap #1 (12.09.2014.) https://www.nfsbih.ba/en/news/u-19-bih-vs-albania-3-0/ cap #2 (21.04.2015.) https://www.facebook.com/pg/KuzmanovicMico/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1656043581291615 (Menalo is wearing #16 shirt) cap #3 (23.04.2015.) https://www.klix.ba/sport/nogomet/juniorska-nogometna-reprezentacija-bih-savladala-selekciju-sad-a/150428129 cap #4 (28.04.2015.) http://ba.n1info.com/a39711/Sport-Klub/Nogomet/Izabranici-Tonija-Karacica-porazeni-od-SAD-a.html cap #5 (30.04.2015.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by KameniSpavač (talk • contribs) 14:13, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Thats original research, you cannot manually search for match reports and then count how many times he played, not to mention that you are using facebook pictures as a source, not even a proper match report. Snowflake91 (talk) 13:21, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- See WP:OR, this goes under "This includes any analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not stated by the sources" and "you must be able to cite reliable, published sources that are directly related to the topic of the article, and directly support the material being presented". None of the sources directly says that he has 5 caps, so it was you who came to this number by manually searching for match reports (how can we know you havent missed any?), and facebook picture is not a reliable source of any kind. Snowflake91 (talk) 13:32, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- Partially incomplete is better than totally incomplete. Simione001 (talk) 22:52, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- Not really, if there is no reliable source then just leave it empty, better than including approximate number of caps by doing original research and watching facebook pictures as a source. Snowflake91 (talk) 09:47, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
Birthplace
[edit]Since Menalo's birthplace is a matter that is being disputed, I would like to provide sources that state that he was born in Bosnian city of Čapljina, more precisely, in a village of Višići.
First of all, homepage of his current club states that he is born in Čapljina (http://www.nk-sirokibrijeg.com/index.php/hr/prva-momcad/igraci), second of all, his village has its own website that regularly provides articles about him (http://visici.com/luka-menalo-modi-angel-di-maria-s-pecare/, http://visici.com/luka-menalo-primjer-ostalim-mladim-igracima-iz-bih/ etc.), webportal about Bosnian football also states that he is from aforementioned village (http://www.bhfudbal.ba/bh-fudbal/premijer-liga-bih/dvadesetogodisnji-visicanin-najbolji-je-mladi-igrac-lige/07042017/), and this webpage of Čapljina also (http://arhiva.caportal.in/index.php/sport/item/769-capljinac-luka-menalo-potpisao-profesionalni-ugovor-sa-nk-siroki).
Can you please help to resolve this issue? @Mattythewhite: 2A02:27B0:4C00:8280:9D2F:375D:F5CF:6719 (talk) 12:50, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- Block evading sockpuppeter User:HankMoodyTZ, Luka Menalo said by himself in February: "Rođen sam u Splitu, odrastao u Čapljini" which means "I was born in Split, raised in Capljina"[1]--Oleola (talk) 13:50, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- You are really obsessed, it is not healthy for you, you might get a stroke or something, calm down... As far as I am concerned, I think that his club would correctly cite his birthplace, as well as his hometown portal. Let the admins decide. 2A02:27B0:4C01:DDD0:3C4A:DA8D:2FBB:F279 (talk) 13:54, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
- You lack of arguments, so you start to attack personally, pathetic. There are no logical arguments to undermine player's claims in favour of your websites which give two different places of birth. You don't even know which one to choose...--Oleola (talk) 15:10, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
- As I said, let the admins decide and respect the decision. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:27B0:4C00:6AD0:4844:9F4F:1401:8093 (talk) 14:31, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
