I am reverting the redirection of this article to Phormium, because while phormium is possibly the predominant raw material used by Māori to make textiles, a number of other plants ( pingao, raupo, kiekie) were also used in areas where they were available, along with dog skin (kuri). Thus this article should be developed as an umbrella article with the other articles in a supporting role. dramatic (talk) 21:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. It's going to have to be expanded quite a bit, though. The Phormium#Use by Māori section is longer than this whole article. Content in Kahu kurī seems to be copied directly from the Museum of New Zealand Website, particularly from details about objects in the collection (such as this one). Heddles (talk) 10:15, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
