It's not pasted from makersdiet.com. Someone more interested in this should check the book, The Maker’s Diet, Penguin, 2004; it's held by a surprisingly large number of libraries. Xasodfuih (talk) 00:43, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Popularity

[edit]

The section "Popularity" was deliberately removed from this article because it is not neutral. Its prose and style sound more like a promotional item for the Bible/Maker's Diet than its popularity in other parts of the world. Wikipedia is not meant to be a repository for marketing or advertising material.

Agree, remove or reduce this shit to a minimum entry, wikipedia is not a place for advertisement. Bible Diet with slaughtered animals and fish. What a joke!!! Fallen Angel

What? The Bible isn't vegetarian! It describes plenty of animal sacrifices etc. 86.155.78.216 (talk) 17:28, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Maker's vs. Bible

[edit]

I'm curious as to why this article is named Bible Diet when the book that 95% of the article covers is called The Maker's Diet. Even 3 of the 4 links at the bottom of the page refer to it as the Maker's Diet. "The Bible" more commonly refers to the Old and New Testament of the Christian/Catholic/Orthodox faiths. This book is based on the Jewish Tanakh, and not what is commonly known as the Bible. It would seem that this article is inappropriately named. 98.215.128.112 (talk) 04:49, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies; I must correct myself on one thing. The Maker's Diet was not based solely on the Hebrew Bible. The author is a Messianic Jew and actually follows both Testaments. I Still believe, however, that the article has the wrong name. It should be titled "The Maker's Diet" and have a redirect from "Bible Diet." Anyone with dissenting views?98.215.128.112 (talk) 04:54, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Redirected

[edit]

This page seems to have suffered from promotionalism, excess detail, and over-reliance on the original book. After trying to clean it up, I have boldly redirected this page to Christian diet programs, which I think will provide an adequate amount of non-promotional encyclopedic information, with the important advantage of placing that information in the context of similar diet programs.
