Medium Wave or Mediumwave ?

[edit]

Something in me protests at "Mediumwave" but not at Shortwave, and about Longwave I am not sure. Yes there is inconsistency here, but is it Wikipedia's mission to impose consistency on us all? If so, there are millions of multi-band radio dials displaying MW and FM that we should quarantine.Cuddlyable3 19:13, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. It's non-standard. "Long" and "short" are one-syllable words, but "medium," at three, is not usually turned into a compound. Google searches suggest at least 10:1 in favor of "medium wave." I'll move it. ProhibitOnions (T) 08:24, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Band edges

[edit]

I have reverted the unsourced changes from 9 April 2024 which originally modified the band edges in the table without modifying the associated channel count and which also then disagreed with the details in the body text. The table details and body text are now consistent again. -- 92.21.137.64 (talk) 09:44, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
